The Viscount and the Witch

The Viscount and the Witch is really a fascinating short story. Story and characters are well formed, and interesting. Especially the world is similar to Medieval Europe, for Medieval Fantasy lovers this would be probably a good choice for starting a good series. There are two main characters in “The Riyria Revelations” series, and both of them are introduced in this short story. As a first impression, I like both of the characters and their relationship.

First character is named Hadrian Blackwater, he is something between killer and soldier. And he is really good at his job. Second one is Royce Melborn, he seems to be a thief but a very talented and very genius thief. He has very deep relations with interesting organizations. This two characters formed the Riyria, probably name comes from combination of their names.

As a medieval fantasy, I’m enthusiastic to read this series.
