Blood of Tyrants
I’ve never started a series with the last book, and this last book is the 8th book in the series. I’ve been watching closely both Naomi Novik and her series Temeraire for a very long time but could not find the right time to start her series. After reading this book, I’ve added all Temeraire books to my reading list. Hope to re-read this one also in right order after the 7th book.
Thank you Netgalley for helping to experience to start a series with the last book.
I really liked the re-telling of the history by adding small elements, in this case dragons are not small in size. Still I can feel, it is the same history that we know. I know the countries, significant events and alliances etc. but also there are some altered parts. Some nations become more powerful by using the dragons, as far as a see the most important one is the Incans.
I like both Laurence and Temeraire, also want to read more about our Kazilik dragon Iskierka.
Due to her former occupation, which was the same occupation as me, I’ve a sympathy to Naomi Novik. This books is for both alternate-history and fantasy fiction lovers. If you like one genre you probably like it and if you like both genres you’ll love it.
