In the future aliens build a space elevator to Darwin, Australia in one night. After this event every people, except the ones living near the elevator and some lucky immunes, infected with an alien virus. The infected ones devaluated and show only primitive emotions.

This book reminded me The Walking Dead. Main characters go to many missions which take place in infected areas, interacting with the infected ones. Sometimes killing, sometimes running just like in The Walking Dead TV show. Also the infected ones reminds zombies as far as I see this ones are more agile.

Main concept and the story is good but character development and dialogues needs to be improved. I just cannot get into story due to characters and dialogues.
